Flag Carrier Air Canada (AC) has revealed its plans to launch non-stop flights between Toronto and Yellowknife starting in December. This new service, operating three times a week, will offer convenient travel options for passengers traveling between eastern Canada and the capital of the Northwest Territories.
Moreover, customers can connect smoothly from Yellowknife to other destinations through Air Canada’s interline partner, Canadian North.
Air Canada Toronto to Yellowknife Service

Toronto to Yellowknife
Commencing on December 1, 2023, the route connecting Toronto and Yellowknife will be serviced. By Airbus A220 aircraft, proudly manufactured in Canada.
The aircraft will offer a seating configuration of 137 seats, accommodating both Business and Economy class passengers. Passengers will have access to onboard Wi-Fi and seatback entertainment systems, boasting extensive content and live TV channels. Further, Every seat will be equipped with these amenities.
Travelers can earn and redeem Aeroplan points, and eligible passengers can enjoy premium services where applicable. Subsequently, these services include priority boarding, priority baggage handling, and access to the Maple Leaf Lounge in Toronto.
Air Canada’s latest offering will enhance its current flight options, including twice-daily service between Yellowknife and Vancouver and daily service between Yellowknife and Edmonton.
Passengers who require onward travel from Yellowknife can benefit from Air Canada’s bilateral interline agreement with Canadian North. This agreement enables travelers to book a single, through-checked ticket, ensuring seamless baggage transfer.
Canadian North’s extensive network includes Cambridge Bay, Fort Simpson, Hay River, Gjoa Haven, Taoloyoak, and Inuvik destinations. Additionally, passengers flying with Canadian North have the opportunity to earn and redeem Aeroplan points.
