According to an airline official on Saturday, a Tata-owned Air India flight bound for Singapore had to be diverted to Malaysia due to both bad weather and congestion issues.
In a recent incident, a flydubai flight caught fire upon takeoff from Kathmandu but landed safely at Dubai International Airport (DXB). The flight crew followed the standard operating procedure and continued the journey after verifying that the engine was functioning normally.

Air India flight to Singapore diverted to Malaysia
An official from Air India stated that flight AI346 to Singapore was diverted to Malaysia. Following the bad weather conditions and congestion in Singapore. Subsequently, the flight departed for Singapore after the weather improved and flight operations resumed.
According to Flight Radar 24, the Air India flight AI346 from Chennai to Singapore diverted to Malaysia. The aircraft is identified as Airbus A320neo and has the registration VT-CIN. Furthermore, the aircraft is 5-year-old aircraft taken on lease by the airline in 2018.
The plane took off from Chennai Airport (MAA) at 5:50 AM and diverted to Malaysia’s Johor Bahu Airport (JHB) at 1:49 PM UTC. Subsequently, the plane took off from JHB at 1:56 PM and landed safely at Singapore’s Changi Airport (SIN) at 2:17 PM UTC.
The following day, the aircraft made a return flight from SIN to Mumbai Airport (BOM). Furthermore, as we write this article, the plane is operating between Srinagar Airport (SXR)and Jammu Airport (IXJ).

On 4th January 2023, IndiGo (6E) and Air India (AI) flights bound for Raipur in Chhattisgarh were diverted due to low visibility.
A dense layer of fog blanketed several parts of India. The Indigo flight en route to Raipur in Chhattisgarh was diverted to Bhubaneshwar. While another Air India flight was diverted to Nagpur in Maharashtra.
Both Airlines gave the advisory and stated further delays in the operations amid poor weather conditions. However, this situation came in foggy weather conditions in Winter. While the latest AI346 flight was diverted due to rainy and stormy conditions.
