TATA Group Airlines Trio performed well from Jan to July 2022. Tata Group owns 3 airlines in India including Air India, Vistara, and Air Asia India.
According to the Indian Regulatory body DGCA, Tata airlines Trio’s performance is outstanding and they have combined Market share of 20-25% which is really a good number.
TATA Air India Performance
Tata Group-owned Air India Limited and Air India Express performed well under its leadership and are growing steadily.
As per the DGCA report, Air India Group carried around 60 Lakh passengers from January to July 2022, with a Market share of around 10% in the 1st Quarter and 7.5% in Q2.
On-Time Performance (OTP) of Air India Group for July 2022 in 4 metro cities of India is 83%.
The Average Load factor for the Air India group from Jan-July 22 is around 76% which is good.
TATA SIA Vistara Airlines Performance
Vistara Airlines is Owned by Tata Group and Singapore Airlines and is the Best Full-service airline in India.
The airline carried a total of 60 lakh passengers similar to what Air India Group carried from Jan to July 2022 But there’s a catch, Vistara Created history by carrying more than 1 million or 10 lakh passengers in July month.
The 1 Million passengers in a Single month Milestone is achieved by Vistara for First Time since its started operation in 2013-14. The Market share of Vistara in Q1 is 8.8% and in Q2 is 8.9% but in July it touched 10.40%.
On-Time Performance of airlines in 4 metro cities for July 2022 is a whopping 89%. The Load factor of Vistara from Jan-July is around 81.51%.
TATA Air Asia India Performance
Air Asia India is the First Foreign subsidiary (AirAsia Group) airline in India.
Air Asia India carried more than 37 Lakh Passengers from Jan to July with a Market share of 5.8% in Q1 and 5.7% in Q2.
The Airline has the Best On-Time Performance in India, Leaving behind its sister Airline Vistara to grab the Top Rank.
The Airline reached almost 100% OTP at Mumbai Airport followed by Hyderabad at 97%, Bangalore at 96.6%, and Delhi at 93.2%.
Air Asia India achieved an average load factor of 76.42% from Jan-Jul 2022, which is similar to Air India Group.

Overall the Trio is performing well in the Indian Market and we will see better results in the coming years.
Air India group is looking to expand its fleet by placing big orders combined with Airbus and Boeing jets while Vistara is expanding rapidly on New International routes with its fleet restructuring and Air Asia group is constantly performing well with OTP and Load factors.
The Future of TATA trios is bright and is likely to grow up to 40% in terms of market share.
