According to a release from the airline, Jyotiraditya Scindia, the aviation minister, practically launched the SpiceJets Jabalpur-Kolkata service on Friday.
Further flights have been added by the airline on the Delhi-Khajuraho route, it was noted.
“Scindia was joined at the virtual inauguration by SpiceJet CMD Ajay Singh, Minister of State for Civil Aviation V K Singh, Jabalpur MP Rakesh Singh, Aviation Secretary Rajiv Bansal, and others”
according to the statement
Jabalpur is a significant industrial city and a popular tourism destination, according to Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Commercial Officer of SpiceJet.
SpiceJet will be the only airline offering daily service between Jabalpur and Kolkata, and the airline is happy to give this ancient city and the state of Madhya Pradesh a much-needed boost in terms of travel and tourism.
Recently Spicejet has been involved in many recent incidents and Aviation minister Scindia Ji has carried out high-level meetings with Senior airline management staff.
