Airbus has scheduled a date for a sale of 500 pieces from a retired A380, in the hopes of attracting bids from superjumbo fans.
Lamps, the bar, steps, handrails, trolleys, chairs, paddles, and “even the cockpit emergency rope” from MSN13, which entered service in 2008, are among the assets up for auction.
Emirates used the A380 with the registration A6-EDB until 2020, when it was retired and dismantled.
Airbus announced plans to sell the parts earlier this year, with an auction scheduled for June 2022.
However, it was revealed on June 3, 2022 that the auction will be held on October 13, 14, and 15, 2022.
It’s not the only Emirates A380 that’s being dismantled that fans may get their hands on.
