IndiGo has been fined Rs 5 lakh by the DGCA for refusing to board a specially abled youngster at Ranchi airport.
The airline was deemed to be ineffective in dealing with the situation, according to the regulator.
Following the boy’s refusal to board the airline’s Ranchi-Hyderabad aircraft, his parents, who were accompanying him, opted not to board as well.
Following the incident, Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia stated that no human being should have to go through this, and that he is personally examining the situation.
The employee had to make a “difficult decision” based on the probability that the “commotion will go ahead aboard the aeroplane,” according to IndiGo CEO Ronojoy Dutta.
