An indefinite ‘tools down agitation’ strike by about 1,700 aircraft maintenance technicians working for a company that handles maintenance and repair jobs for private carrier Air India began at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
Day 3 update
Technicians of Mumbai will protest in Azad maidan, Technicians of Nagpur will protest outside Nagpur Airport while Technicians of Delhi,Kolkata and other bases will protest outside their office bases.
Technicians appeal to Aviation Minister that :
If AIESL maintenance personnel are on the streets in the cities of Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad.
Kindly intervene.
These employees look after the flights of Air India / Air India Express and Alliance Air, without them also take cognizance of who is doing their maintenance.
