Air India ENGINEERING SERIVCES LIMTED Temporary employees are working on the post of aircraft technician, which is going on indefinite strike from. 17 January 2022.
Among the jobs handled by aircraft maintenance technicians are aircraft fueling and readying for departure, marshaling, maintenance jobs etc.
No rise in salary
1- People have been demanding for the last two years to increase the salary.
But the upper officials of the company are ignoring this demand.
“Most of us earn minimum wage of Rs 25,000 and despite that the airline included our salaries too for cuts imposed under economic measures. Since May 2020, a sum of out of Rs 1100 is being deducted from our salary. We have demanded a reimbursement,” said a technician, requesting anonymity.
He added that about 1,700 of them across India will opt for a “tool down” agitation a week from now.
Labor Law
2- Under the labor law, after the completion of 3 years, the temporary employee will be reinstated in the permanent but this company is not ready to do anything.
“Many of us have completed five years with Air India and our contracts will come up for renewal. The airline management has been silent on our long pending queries,“ the technician added.
Dearness Allowance- Air India
3- Despite being a PSU company, its Dearness Allowance (DA) is not being given to the employees.
To add dearness allowance from the last long demand is being mad. But the employee Officials not ready to listen to any problems.

Forced strike is a last resort left.
That’s why all AIRCRAFT TECHNICIAN working in AIESL all over the country from 17th. January are going on strike whose information has been given to the top officer of the employee.
