Snag Disrupted Delhi–Singapore Flight
A similar disruption occurred on May 31, 2025, affecting Air India (AI) Flight AI2382 from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to Singapore Changi Airport (SIN). The Airbus A321, scheduled to depart at 12:55 PM, faced repeated take-off aborts due to a persistent technical issue.
Initially, the aircraft began taxiing slightly ahead of schedule but returned to the gate after the problem emerged. Passengers remained onboard for more than three hours while technicians attempted a fix. A second departure attempt also failed, prompting the captain to return the aircraft to its parking bay.
The extended delay caused discomfort among travelers, especially elderly passengers and those with connecting flights. Food service was initially limited to popcorn, with full meals only served around 6:45 PM—over five hours after the scheduled departure.
