United Airlines executed definitive agreements with aircraft lessors to lease 40 Airbus A321neo aircraft, delivery in 2026 and 2027.

United has taken the step of requesting Boeing to halt the production of Max 10s on their behalf and instead manufacture Max 9s.

United Airlines (UA) temporarily grounded its recently acquired Airbus A321neo fleet due to pilots facing difficulties turning off the ‘no smoking signs,’ which are required to remain illuminated whenever passengers are onboard.

Facing a backlog extending over several years, Airbus is said to be exploring the option of reclaiming delivery slots for its Airbus A321neo in the upcoming years.

United Airlines (UA), took delivery of its First Airbus A321neo on October 12, 2023. This marks the carrier’s first delivery of an Airbus aircraft since October 2002.
