CHICAGO- United Airlines (UA) has rescheduled its first Airbus A321neo flight to November 30, departing from Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH).
The aircraft, delivered to United Airlines in October, has undergone a series of test flights and is now prepared for operational service.

United A321neo First Flight
Scheduled for November 30, United Airlines is poised to launch its first-ever commercially scheduled passenger flight with the Airbus A321neo.
The aircraft with registration N44501 is scheduled to depart from Houston at 17:30, operating as flight UA321 bound for Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD).
Bookings for this flight are already available on United’s website and app, featuring fares ranging from $89 for basic economy to $1,963 for business class.
This particular route stands as the sole flight between these cities served on an A321neo by any US carrier.

New Routes with A321neo
United Airlines (UA), took delivery of its First Airbus A321neo on October 12, 2023. This marks the carrier’s first delivery of an Airbus aircraft since October 2002.
United Airlines is set to introduce its new Airbus A321neo on the Chicago (ORD) to:
- Phoenix (PHX) route starting December 14th
- Fort Lauderdale (FLL) route starting December 14th
- Orlando (MCO) route starting January 9th
- Fort Myers (RSW) route starting January 9th
- Las Vegas (LAS) route starting January 9th
On October 3, 2023, United Airlines purchased 60 more Airbus A321neo aircraft, aligning with the airline’s “United Next” program to incorporate new planes into its fleet while streamlining and improving its worldwide network.
United had previously placed orders for 50 A321XLR and 70 A321neo aircraft. This additional order brings United’s direct procurement agreement with Airbus to a total of 180 A321 aircraft.
