IndiGo (6E), is once again turning to wet leasing as a solution to its operational challenges, this time, the airline is reportedly eyeing Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners as an option, which will be a new addition to its otherwise all-Airbus fleet.

IndiGo Airlines (6E) is in discussions with India’s civil aviation ministry to extend its wet lease of Boeing 777 planes from Turkish Airlines (TK), as the current lease period ends this week.
Boeing is reportedly leading the competition to secure an order of approximately 25 wide-body aircraft from IndiGo (6E), the largest domestic airline in India
According to sources familiar with the matter, the competition for IndiGo (6E) Airline’s wide-body aircraft order has been narrowed down to two contenders.
