Mumbai International Airport, which is owned by the Adani group, announced on Monday that it has established a single security checkpoint for both domestic and foreign travellers.
Domestic passengers
Over 1.5 million domestic passengers and roughly.27 million international travellers passed through the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport last month, which is 93% and 86% more than pre-COVID-19 domestic and international passenger levels.
India has seen aircraft movements exceed pre-pandemic levels as carriers try to lure more passengers to the skies.
The Indian aviation regulator DGCA reported on Friday that 1.08 crore domestic passengers flew in April, up 2% from 1.06 crore in March.
