merican Aerospace Giant, Boeing will invest $1 billion to expand its 787 Dreamliner manufacturing operations in Charleston County, creating 500 new jobs over the next five years.

In response to Hurricane Idalia, Boeing temporarily halted 787 operations in South Carolina on Wednesday afternoon. The company informed second and third-shift workers not to report to work on that day.
