A tragic light plane crash off the coast of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE on December 26 claimed the lives of two individuals, including an Indian-origin doctor and a Pakistani pilot.

The pilot allegedly failed to open the landing gear in the accident in Jamshedpur in Jharkhand, while the second plane crash-landed on the runway in Sultanpur in UP.
The board of directors of Civil Aviation DGCA has suggested pilots to avoid self-medication and taking over-the-counter medication because it might be prejudicial to their flying performance.
