KUALA LUMPUR- Malaysia Airlines (MH) has secured two major international honours after winning the World’s Best MICE Airline and Asia’s Best MICE Airline titles at the 2026 World MICE Awards. The recognition strengthens the Malaysian flag carrier’s position in the corporate travel market as Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) works towards its goal of becoming one of the world’s top 10 airlines by 2030.
The awards were announced during a gala ceremony in Jamaica on October 12, 2026, marking the airline’s first victories in both categories. The results highlight its growing presence in meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) travel, a segment that connects airlines with corporate clients, event organisers and the wider business travel industry.

Malaysia Airlines MICE Awards
The double victory gives Malaysia Airlines fresh recognition in a specialised travel segment where service consistency and operational reliability matter to business customers.
MICE travel involves the movement of delegates attending corporate meetings, incentive trips, international conferences and trade exhibitions, often requiring coordinated travel arrangements for large groups.
Winning both the global and regional categories also gives the carrier an opportunity to strengthen relationships with travel management companies and event planners.
These partnerships can help airlines compete for corporate bookings and group travel demand, particularly when organisations need dependable transport for events involving participants from multiple countries.
The awards form part of a wider series of recognitions received by MAG across different markets. The group has also gained recognition for customer experience and its brand presence in Malaysia, South Korea and Hong Kong, alongside honours at the Skytrax World Airline Awards.

Operational Performance Supports Growth
Malaysia Airlines’ operating reliability provides another important element of its efforts to attract corporate travellers. The carrier recorded average on-time performance of 91.7% in 2026, with the figure reaching 94.16% in September, according to reported figures.
On-time performance is particularly relevant to business travel because delays can disrupt connecting flights, conference schedules and other time-sensitive arrangements.
Airlines seeking corporate contracts must therefore demonstrate not only competitive schedules but also the ability to deliver consistent service across their networks.
For Malaysia Airlines, the latest awards provide an additional platform to communicate its performance and service standards to corporate travel buyers.
Sustaining that reputation will depend on maintaining operational consistency as demand and network requirements evolve.

MAG Targets Top 10 Airlines
Bryan Foong, chief executive of MAG’s Airline Business, described the double win as an important milestone and credited employees across the group for their contribution.
He also emphasised the airline’s intention to deepen collaboration with the travel industry, reinforcing the commercial importance of relationships with travel partners, Malay Mail reported.
The recognition aligns with MAG’s Long-Term Business Plan 3.0, which sets out the group’s ambition to place Malaysia Airlines among the world’s top 10 airlines by 2030. The strategy requires the carrier to build its market position while maintaining service quality and operational performance.
The World MICE Awards victories do not, by themselves, establish the airline’s overall global ranking, but they strengthen its profile in the business travel segment.
The challenge ahead will be to convert industry recognition into lasting commercial relationships, repeat bookings and sustained customer confidence as the group pursues its longer-term objectives.
