JAIPUR— Akasa Air (QP) has expanded its domestic network by launching daily direct flights connecting Jaipur International Airport (JAI) with Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) and Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) from October 11, 2026.
The new services provide passengers with direct connections between Jaipur and two major commercial centres, strengthening travel options for business and leisure travellers. The airline will further expand its presence in Rajasthan by introducing flights to Udaipur on October 15, extending its regional network beyond Jaipur.

Akasa Air Adds Jaipur as its 29th Destination
Akasa Air has introduced daily services on both routes, allowing passengers to travel between Jaipur and the two metropolitan cities without a connecting flight.
The schedule includes morning arrivals in Jaipur and midday departures for passengers travelling onward from the Rajasthan capital.
The Mumbai–Jaipur service departs Mumbai at 9:10 a.m. and arrives in Jaipur at 11:10 a.m. Its return flight leaves Jaipur at noon and reaches Mumbai at 1:55 p.m., providing a daily option for passengers travelling between the two cities.
On the Bengaluru route, the flight from Bengaluru arrives in Jaipur at 10:50 a.m. The return service departs Jaipur at 11:30 a.m. and reaches Bengaluru at 2 p.m., creating a direct link between Rajasthan and one of India’s leading technology and business hubs.

Akasa Air Expands Domestic Network Further
The addition of Jaipur makes the city Akasa Air’s 29th domestic destination and its second destination in Rajasthan. The airline already serves Udaipur, and the planned expansion of operations there from October 15 will strengthen its presence in the state.
Anand Srinivasan, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Akasa Air, said Jaipur fits naturally into the airline’s network expansion plans, Economic Times reported.
He highlighted the city’s established and diversified travel market, adding that direct links with Mumbai and Bengaluru would help the airline serve different passenger segments.
The expansion reflects the carrier’s approach of connecting major metropolitan centres with regional markets that attract business and leisure travel.
Jaipur’s role as Rajasthan’s capital also makes it an important gateway for visitors travelling to the state for tourism, commerce and other purposes.

Impact on Rajasthan Air Travel Growth
The new flights give travellers more direct options when planning journeys between Jaipur, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Passengers can avoid connecting itineraries on these routes, while businesses gain additional air links between Rajasthan and two major economic centres.
Jaipur attracts visitors interested in the region’s historical landmarks, architecture and cultural heritage.
Better air connectivity can also support travel linked to trade, education and commercial activities, although the overall impact will depend on passenger demand and how the services perform.
Akasa Air’s planned Udaipur expansion will add another connection to Rajasthan’s air travel network just four days after the Jaipur launch.
Together, the developments demonstrate the airline’s intention to build a stronger presence in the state while increasing travel choices across its domestic network.
