DUBAI- Emirates (EK) will launch daily Airbus A380 service from Dubai (DXB) to Delhi (DEL) on October 25, 2026. The aircraft will operate one of the airline’s 4 daily round trips on the route.
The move will make Delhi Emirates’ third regular A380 destination in India after Mumbai (BOM) and Bengaluru (BLR). The 1,357 mile route will also mark the return of Emirates’ A380 to Delhi more than 16 years after a one-off 2010 operation.
Emirates Brings Regular A380 Service to Delhi
Emirates will begin daily Airbus A380 operations between Dubai and Delhi on October 25, 2026, using the four-class aircraft on the EK512/EK513 rotation. Emirates confirmed the planned deployment in a statement released in July 2026.
The A380 is primarily associated with long-haul international flying, but its large capacity also allows Emirates to use the aircraft on shorter routes with strong demand.
Emirates is the largest operator of the Airbus A380, with more than 100 aircraft in its fleet, giving it substantial flexibility in deploying the superjumbo across its network.
The Dubai-Delhi sector is relatively short for the A380. Emirates typically schedules about 3.5 hours for the flight, while the route covers approximately 1,357 network miles.
Emirates has previously operated the Airbus A380 to Delhi only once. In July 2010, the airline flew an A380 from Dubai International Airport to Delhi to mark 25 years of its operations in India.
The planned October 2026 launch will therefore represent the beginning of regular A380 service rather than a one-off promotional operation. Delhi will join Mumbai and Bengaluru as Emirates’ third Indian destination served by the A380.
Emirates Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim said:
“Given the strong demand for travel to and from India, it is an honour to expand our A380 footprint in the country, with Delhi joining Mumbai and Bengaluru as our third A380 destination.”
The statement links the aircraft deployment to sustained demand between India and the United Arab Emirates.
Emirates A380 Offers 468 Seats
According to Simple Flying, the 4 class Airbus A380 assigned to the route will provide 468 seats.
The configuration includes 14 First Class seats, 76 Business Class seats, 56 Premium Economy seats, and 322 Economy Class seats.

The 468-seat configuration gives Emirates substantially more capacity on the selected A380 rotation while preserving its four-class premium product.
Boeing 777-300ER Will Operate 3 Daily Flights
The A380 will account for only one of Emirates’ 4 daily round trips between Dubai and Delhi. Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will continue operating the other 3 rotations.
The 3 Boeing 777-300ER departures from Dubai are scheduled for 4:20 AM, 9:55 AM, and 3:10 PM. The A380-operated service is scheduled to leave at 9:30 PM.
The 777-300ER aircraft used on the route also feature 4 classes and have either 324 or 328 seats, depending on the configuration. Emirates can therefore maintain multiple departure options throughout the day while concentrating additional capacity on the A380 service.
The spread of departures also supports onward connections through Dubai International Airport, one of the Middle East’s major aviation hubs.
Dubai-Delhi Route Has Strong Competition
Emirates is not the only airline operating between Dubai and Delhi. Cirium data indicates that 382 flights are scheduled to depart Dubai for Delhi during November 2026 alone.
Air India (AI) operates 4 daily flights on the route. Three are scheduled with Boeing 787-8 aircraft, while one uses an Airbus A320neo.
IndiGo operates 2 daily Airbus A321neo flights, and SpiceJet also operates two daily services with Boeing 737-800 aircraft. flydubai adds 5 Boeing 737-800 flights per week.
The competitive schedule reflects the importance of the Dubai-Delhi market for both local traffic and passengers connecting to other destinations.
Emirates’ India Network
India is a major short-haul international market for Emirates, supporting both point-to-point travel and transit traffic through Dubai.
In November 2026, Emirates is scheduled to operate 720 rotations from Dubai to Indian destinations. That represents an average of about 14 India-bound flights per day across the month.
The Boeing 777-300ER will remain the dominant aircraft type across Emirates’ India network, followed by the Airbus A350-900 and Airbus A380.

The figures show that the A380 will represent a significant but still minority share of Emirates’ India operations during the month.
Mumbai Leads Emirates’ Indian Frequencies
Delhi will receive four daily Emirates rotations, but Mumbai will have the airline’s highest frequency in India with five daily services.
Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad will each receive three daily rotations. Kochi will have two daily services, while Thiruvananthapuram will receive daily service.
Ahmedabad will average nine flights per week, while Kolkata will average 12 flights per week.
This network gives Emirates a broad presence across several major Indian cities while allowing passengers to connect through Dubai to destinations across its wider international network.
What the Delhi A380 Launch Means for Emirates
The October 25, 2026 launch expands Emirates’ regular A380 footprint in India without replacing its established Boeing 777 capacity on the Dubai-Delhi route.
One of four daily Emirates rotations will use the 468-seat A380, while three continue with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. This approach allows the airline to add high-capacity service while retaining a broad daily schedule.
