BANGKOK- Plaza Premium Group has opened two new lounges at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), giving eligible Priority Pass and DragonPass members a new lounge option after a major reduction in third-party facilities in 2025.
The larger Plaza Premium Lounge is now available through both programs, while the adjoining Plaza Premium First lounge remains a paid facility outside Priority Pass and DragonPass.
Plaza Premium Adds a New Lounge Option at Suvarnabhumi
Plaza Premium Group opened its first two Thailand lounges at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi on August 28, 2026. The larger facility has since been added to the Priority Pass and DragonPass networks, making it the first major brand alternative to the Miracle and Coral lounges at the airport since the 2025 changes.
The main Plaza Premium Lounge is located airside on Level 3 of Concourse G, close to Gate G1 at the western end of the main terminal. It is also near the Cathay Pacific lounge and is reasonably positioned for passengers departing from many gates in Concourses D, E, F and G.
However, the location is less convenient for passengers departing from the airport’s new satellite pier. The S101 to S128 gates require passengers to use the underground automated people mover from the mid-D concourse. Travelers using the Plaza Premium Lounge before an S-gate departure should allow about 20 to 25 minutes for the journey from the lounge to the gate area, Mainly Miles flagged.
New Lounge Breaks Miracle and Coral Dominance
The arrival of Plaza Premium provides greater variety in Suvarnabhumi’s Priority Pass lounge network.
On April 1, 2025, Collinson removed five airline-operated lounges from Priority Pass and LoungeKey at the airport. The affected facilities included the Air France-KLM Sky Lounge, Oman Air First and Business Class Lounge, both Blue Ribbon Club lounges and the Thai Royal Silk Lounge. The Turkish Airlines lounge was also subsequently removed from the directory.
Following those changes, the Priority Pass network at Suvarnabhumi consisted of 17 lounges operated by Miracle or Coral. Plaza Premium has now become the first different lounge operator to join the network since that consolidation.
The current Priority Pass network includes facilities across Concourses A, C, D, F and G, as well as Satellite 1. Concourse G now has the Plaza Premium Lounge alongside two Miracle First Class lounges and a Miracle Business Class lounge.
Concourse E no longer has a Priority Pass lounge after the departure of the Oman Air facility from the program.
Priority Pass and DragonPass Access
The main Plaza Premium Lounge is accessible through both Priority Pass and DragonPass, subject to each membership or card’s applicable terms.
The source identifies several Singapore-issued cards with DragonPass access, including HSBC TravelOne, OCBC Premier Visa Infinite, OCBC Voyage, UOB Lady’s Solitaire Metal and UOB Visa Infinite Metal.
Priority Pass access covers a broader group of cards, including the Amex Platinum Charge, Citi Prestige, ULTIMA and PremierMiles, DBS Altitude, Insignia and Vantage, HSBC Premier, Maybank Visa Infinite, several Standard Chartered cards, and UOB PRVI Miles and Reserve.
One visit through either program is capped at two hours. After a cardholder exhausts the annual complimentary allocation, additional visits and guest visits are typically charged at US$35 per person, although the exact terms depend on the card.
Lounge Features and 24-Hour Operation
The main Plaza Premium Lounge covers 578 square metres and has seating for 98 passengers.
Facilities include Thai food, live cooking stations, showers, Wi-Fi, charging stations, a prayer room, a nursing room and an accessible washroom. The lounge operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The lounge’s position overlooking the terminal garden and its dining and seating areas provide another option for passengers who have access through their lounge membership or eligible credit card.
Paid Entry Options at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi
Passengers without a complimentary lounge visit can purchase access directly.
A two-hour visit to the main Plaza Premium Lounge costs THB 1,750, while a five-hour stay costs THB 2,450. Priority Pass members receive a 10% discount, reducing the two-hour rate to THB 1,575 and the five-hour rate to THB 2,205.
The discounted Priority Pass rate remains higher than the standard entry price at nearby Miracle lounges, which starts at THB 1,500 and was being promoted at THB 1,190 on the airport operator’s website according to the source.
Online bookings must be completed at least one hour before arrival. Otherwise, passengers need to purchase entry at the lounge.
Plaza Premium First Remains a Premium Paid Lounge
The second facility, Plaza Premium First, is located next to the main lounge but does not participate in Priority Pass or DragonPass.
The lounge measures 212 square metres and has 51 seats. It offers à la carte dining and a dedicated bar, providing a more premium setup than the buffet and self-service format of the main Plaza Premium Lounge.
Entry costs THB 2,400 for two hours or THB 3,100 for five hours. The source notes that the Bangkok facility is the tenth Plaza Premium First location worldwide.
Because the main Plaza Premium Lounge can be accessed through eligible Priority Pass or DragonPass benefits, the higher price of Plaza Premium First may make it more suitable for passengers seeking its additional dining and bar services rather than complimentary lounge access.
Which Passengers Should Use the New Lounge?
The Concourse G location makes the main Plaza Premium Lounge most practical for passengers departing from nearby areas of the main terminal, particularly Concourses D, E, F and G.
Passengers departing from the S gates should consider the two Priority Pass lounges located inside the satellite pier instead. These facilities avoid the additional transfer time required to travel back from Concourse G to the satellite gates.
Travelers departing from Concourses A, B or C are also likely to find a Miracle or Coral lounge closer to their departure gate. Checking the departure gate before choosing a lounge can therefore save significant walking and transfer time.
A Wider Choice for Lounge Members
Plaza Premium’s arrival gives Priority Pass and DragonPass members another option at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi after the airport’s 2025 lounge changes reduced operator diversity.
The main lounge combines complimentary access for eligible members with 24-hour operation, food service, showers and other passenger facilities. The separate Plaza Premium First lounge offers a higher-end alternative for travelers willing to pay for à la carte dining and bar service.
For passengers using the new facility, the most important consideration remains the departure gate. The Concourse G location is convenient for several main-terminal departures but less practical for flights using the satellite pier.
