DUBAI- Emirates (EK) has temporarily suspended Airbus A380 flights from Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) and Glasgow International Airport (GLA), while continuing both routes with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
The seasonal change affects the airline’s Q3 2026 A380 network. Daily Airbus A380 service to both Prague and Glasgow is scheduled to return on October 1, with Prague set to receive Emirates’ newer 569-seat 3-class A380 from October 25.
Emirates Temporarily Removes 2 Destinations

Glasgow Will Return With 4 Class A380

Until the A380 returns, Emirates will continue operating the Dubai-Glasgow route with a Boeing 777-300ER. The temporary aircraft therefore maintains the daily connection while reducing the amount of available passenger capacity compared with the A380.
The returning A380 will restore substantially more capacity to the route and retain Emirates’ premium cabin offering, including First Class.
Network Retreat?
