DUBAI- Emirates (EK) flight EK225, operating from Dubai International Airport (DXB) to San Francisco International Airport (SFO), diverted to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) on Wednesday after a passenger experienced a medical emergency during the flight.
The Boeing 777 flight made an unscheduled landing at Heathrow (LHR), where medical assistance was arranged. Emirates (EK) confirmed that affected passengers would receive hotel accommodation and be rebooked on the next available service.

Emirates confirmed that flight EK225 was forced to divert to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) after a passenger required immediate medical attention while the aircraft was en route to San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
Flight tracking platform Flightradar24 showed the aircraft deviating from its planned route while flying over Russian airspace before heading toward London. The diversion allowed emergency medical services to meet the aircraft shortly after landing at Heathrow.
