DUBAI- Emirates (EK) has unveiled its next-generation signature airport lounge concept, with redesigned lounges now open at Munich Airport (MUC) and Frankfurt Airport (FRA).
The airline will expand the concept to Manchester Airport (MAN), Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU) and Istanbul Airport (IST) in the coming months.
The new concept represents Emirates’ continued investment in premium ground services, combining luxury interiors, advanced technology, wellness facilities and upgraded dining.
The design will serve as the blueprint for future Emirates lounges across the airline’s global network.

Emirates Introduces a New Global Standard for Premium Airport Lounges
Emirates has launched a next-generation signature lounge concept that will gradually be introduced across its major international destinations.
The redesigned lounges in Munich and Frankfurt are already welcoming customers, while Manchester is scheduled to open in July, Mauritius in August and Istanbul in October.
The airline will invest more than AED 50 million in each next-generation lounge, highlighting its long-term commitment to strengthening the premium airport experience for customers across its worldwide network.
As the rollout continues, the new concept will become the standard design template for Emirates lounges everywhere.
The concept extends the design language of Emirates’ latest cabin interiors to the airport environment.
Inspired by the airline’s flagship lounges in Dubai (DXB), the refreshed spaces combine exceptional hospitality, luxury and innovation to create a seamless experience before departure.
Adel Al Redha, Deputy President and Chief Operations Officer at Emirates, said the investment reflects the airline’s commitment to delivering a seamless premium experience throughout every stage of the customer journey.
He added that the redesigned lounges combine refreshed luxury interiors with the elevated hospitality and innovation Emirates is known for, giving customers a comfortable space to relax, dine, work and prepare for their flights while strengthening the airline’s premium travel offering.
Inspired by Emirates’ latest cabin interiors and its flagship Dubai lounges, the new design introduces more than 50 improvements that enhance comfort, functionality and visual appeal.
Contemporary architecture and premium furniture define the space, alongside herringbone flooring throughout, marble and gold accents, and discreet integrated lighting. Distinct zones support relaxation, dining, work and social interaction across each lounge.
The signature backlit Emirates Ghaf Tree motif anchors the design and pays tribute to the national tree of the United Arab Emirates, reflecting the airline’s connection to its home country.

Improved Workspaces for Business and Leisure Travellers
The redesigned lounges provide dedicated areas for passengers who want to remain productive before departure, with private working spaces alongside shared collaborative areas.
Italian eco-leather seating, wireless charging at every seat and universal power outlets support productivity, while integrated technology runs throughout the lounge.
Dedicated artwork displays feature local artists alongside Emirati culture, and Emirates’ signature Rolex clocks display multiple international time zones for passengers managing connections.
Together, these additions create flexible work environments while maintaining the premium lounge atmosphere.

Live Cooking and Locally Inspired Dining Experience
Dining areas have been reimagined around culinary theatre, with live cooking stations where chefs prepare meals fresh throughout the day.
Menus offer international cuisine, regional specialities and dedicated ‘Made In’ sections showcasing local dishes, supported by hot and cold buffet selections that are refreshed across the day and night.
À la minute dishes are prepared to order, while a dedicated bread oven produces freshly baked pizzas, traditional flatbreads and authentic manakeesh inspired by the city of Dubai.
The expanded menu gives travellers a wider selection of freshly prepared meals while highlighting local culinary traditions at each destination.

Premium Barista and Beverage Experience
The lounge experience includes upgraded beverage offerings, with Emirates’ curated selection of wines, champagne, beers and premium spirits available to guests.
A dedicated barista station serves speciality coffees and artisan teas, while an in-house mixologist prepares locally inspired cocktails and mocktails and provides expert beverage recommendations throughout the day.

Wellness Facilities Designed for Comfort
The next-generation lounges place greater emphasis on passenger wellbeing before travel.
Guests are welcomed by Emirates’ signature fragrance of bergamot, citrus, jasmine and soft wood, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere, while fresh floral arrangements and displays of local plants enhance the ambiance.
Upgraded shower suites feature spa-inspired finishes and sustainable VOYA amenities, helping passengers refresh before long-haul journeys.

Quiet Zones and Passenger-Focused Facilities
The redesigned lounges include dedicated spaces for relaxation and privacy. The Quiet Zone offers plush seating, soft lighting and sleep amenities such as blankets, eye masks and earplugs, allowing passengers to rest comfortably during long layovers or before overnight flights.
The lounges also provide male and female prayer rooms with ablution facilities and integrated Qibla direction, along with private meeting rooms and breastfeeding rooms.
Every Emirates lounge continues to operate as a silent environment, ensuring a peaceful experience for all travellers.
