LONDON- EasyJet (U2) has announced a major expansion of its winter schedule, introducing 13 new routes across eight UK airports. The move strengthens regional connectivity and expands access to both leisure and city destinations across Europe and North Africa.
The new network connects multiple departure points, including London Luton Airport (LTN), Manchester Airport (MAN), London Southend Airport (SEN), Birmingham Airport (BHX), Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL), Newcastle International Airport (NCL), and Cornwall Airport Newquay (NQY).
EasyJet is targeting stronger winter demand across ski, city break, and winter sun markets.

easyJet New Winter Routes Expansion
EasyJet has confirmed 13 new winter routes covering destinations in Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Egypt, Spain, Germany, and Switzerland. The airline is introducing services such as Manchester (MAN) to Cairo Sphinx Airport (SPX), which will become the only direct connection on this route. Easyjet reported
London Luton (LTN) will gain services to Kittilä (KTT) and Strasbourg (SXB), while London Southend (SEN) will connect to Edinburgh (EDI).
Birmingham (BHX) will see new flights to Copenhagen (CPH), and Liverpool (LPL) will operate routes to Reykjavik (KEF) and Kittilä (KTT). Newcastle (NCL) will expand significantly with routes to Barcelona (BCN), Berlin (BER), Copenhagen (CPH), Hurghada (HRG), and Rovaniemi (RVN).
The airline has also launched a new service from Newquay (NQY) to Geneva (GVA), marking its first international route from Cornwall. These additions aim to improve accessibility from regional airports and support demand for both short and long-haul leisure travel patterns.

Airport Expansion Growth Acceleration Plan
EasyJet has significantly increased its presence at Newcastle Airport (NCL), where the addition of five new routes brings the total network to 31 destinations. The airline stated that it has quadrupled its Newcastle operations since establishing its base in March 2026.
The expansion strengthens Newcastle’s role as a key regional hub within easyJet’s UK strategy. It also enhances connectivity between northern England and major European city break and winter tourism destinations.
At London Southend (SEN), the new Edinburgh (EDI) route improves domestic connectivity, while Birmingham (BHX) and Liverpool (LPL) gain broader European winter access. The expansion supports balanced network growth across multiple UK regions.

Strategic Winter Network Growth Initiative
EasyJet’s winter schedule introduces varied frequencies, with most routes operating two weekly services, while select destinations such as Strasbourg (SXB) operate up to four weekly flights.
The airline has also aligned schedules to support short weekend breaks and extended holiday travel.
The Manchester (MAN) to Cairo (SPX) route strengthens access to Egypt’s tourism gateway near the Pyramids of Giza, while Scandinavian and Arctic destinations such as Rovaniemi (RVN) and Kittilä (KTT) target winter travel demand.
EasyJet holiday packages are available across most routes, combining flights, accommodation, and baggage options to support bundled travel demand. The airline continues to focus on affordability, with fares starting from £23.99.
