FORT WORTH- American Airlines (AA) flight AA3046 was met by law enforcement and emergency medical personnel after landing at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) following a reported onboard disturbance involving a passenger.
The American Airlines Airbus A320 was operating from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) to Philadelphia (PHL) when the flight crew informed air traffic control that a passenger had allegedly bitten another traveler and was attempting to fight other people onboard.
Passenger Disturbance Reported During Approach To Philadelphia
The incident unfolded as American Airlines flight 3046 was descending toward Philadelphia on Father’s Day.
During communications with air traffic control, the pilot requested emergency medical technicians and law enforcement officers to meet the aircraft upon arrival.
According to the radio transmission, the pilot stated: “I don’t know if he’s hallucinating or whatever, but he just bit a passenger, and he’s trying to fight everybody.”
