BOSTON– Porter Airlines (PD) is expanding its cross-border network with the launch of new nonstop services linking Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) and Montreal Trudeau Airport (YUL).
The new routes strengthen the airline’s footprint in the Northeastern United States while improving connectivity between major Canadian cities and New England.
The carrier announced that Toronto Pearson-Boston flights will operate 14 times weekly using the Embraer E195-E2, while Montreal-Boston service will run daily aboard the De Havilland Dash 8-400.
The additions complement Porter’s existing Boston operations from Toronto City Airport (YTZ) and Ottawa International Airport (YOW), bringing the airline’s total Boston schedule to eight daily flights.

Porter Airlines Boston Flights
Porter said the expansion is designed to offer travelers greater flexibility and improved access to one of the United States’ busiest business and tourism markets. Boston remains a key destination due to its universities, financial sector, healthcare industry, and growing innovation economy.
The Toronto Pearson route also marks the first appearance of Porter’s Embraer E195-E2 aircraft at Boston Logan. Passengers flying on the jet will have access to complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a feature available across the airline’s E195-E2 fleet.
Andrew Pierce, Vice President of Network Planning and Reporting at Porter, said Boston has remained an important market for the airline since it first launched service there in 2009.
He added that the new routes from Toronto Pearson and Montreal represent another step in strengthening Porter’s presence in the United States.
Massport Executive Director of Aviation Ed Freni said the new services improve direct access between Boston and two major Canadian gateways.
According to Freni, the routes also provide passengers with more travel options and flexibility when connecting across North America.

Canada-US Connectivity
The newly launched services also enhance onward connections for travelers transiting through Toronto Pearson and Montreal Trudeau.
Boston passengers can now access Porter’s broader domestic network, including destinations such as Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, and Vancouver.
Through Porter’s joint venture partnership with Air Transat (TS), travelers will also gain easier access to transatlantic destinations. These include major European cities such as Amsterdam, Paris, and Barcelona.
ADM Aéroports de Montréal Vice President Karl Brochu said the Boston route will strengthen YUL’s transborder offerings and improve travel choices for passengers moving through Montreal.
He added that expanding international connectivity benefits both local communities and the broader aviation market.

Porter Passenger Experience
Porter continues to position itself as a premium economy-focused airline in the North American market.
The carrier offers an all-economy cabin layout with no middle seats on its aircraft, alongside complimentary beer and wine served in glassware and premium snacks for passengers.
Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Toronto, Porter operates a growing fleet of Embraer E195-E2 and De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft.
The airline has rapidly expanded beyond Canada in recent years, adding routes across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America.
