NEW DELHI— Tata Group-owned Air India (AI) has launched Cloud Chasers, a dedicated programme designed to improve the travel experience for families and children flying with the airline. The initiative brings together child-focused products and services under a single offering.
The launch follows a 13% growth in family travel between 2024 and 2025, reflecting a steady rise in demand for thoughtfully designed experiences for young flyers and their parents.

Air India’s Cloud Chasers: New Experience for Children
At the heart of Cloud Chasers is a reimagined version of Air India’s iconic Maharaja, repositioned as a young, adventurous companion for children. This updated avatar will appear across multiple touchpoints, including onboard activity kits and First Flight Certificates.
Children between the ages of 3 and 9 travelling on long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights exceeding eight hours will receive a newly designed activity kit. The kit includes puzzles, games, drawing sections, and discovery prompts, all presented in Cloud Chasers branding featuring the Maharaja in his new playful form.
Air India has also refreshed the design of its First Flight Certificate, a memento for children marking their first flying experience. The certificate is signed by the captain and crew and can be requested by parents to commemorate the milestone.

Inflight Entertainment and Digital Experience for Young Passengers
The Kids Zone on Air India’s Vista inflight entertainment system offers over 130 hours of curated content for children aged 3 to 13. Parents can also connect personal electronic devices to Vista Stream, which provides over 35 hours of child-friendly programming.
Air India has partnered with global content providers, including Moonbug and Red Bull TV, to deliver animated and educational content across diverse age groups. Interactive features such as Kids Maps and games including UNO, Angry Birds, Chess, and Ludo Race are also available on the platform.
The airline has collaborated with Vobble to offer audio-based learning stories, allowing children to engage with content while reducing screen time during the flight.

Priority Services and Onboard Comfort for Travelling Families
Cloud Chasers also addresses the practical needs of parents by integrating priority handling at airports. Priority boarding is available for families with children across airports, and priority check-in assistance is provided wherever operationally feasible.
Infant meals and bassinet seats are available on select domestic and international Air India flights. Families also have access to Air India’s 24/7 customer support and crew trained to assist passengers travelling with young children.
Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Air India, described the launch as the first phase of a long-term vision to elevate the airline’s family travel experience, with further enhancements planned for future phases.
With Cloud Chasers, we are reimagining what it means for families with kids to fly Air India. We have curated this programme with careful attention to what our young travellers truly need and designed thoughtful experiences that will make their journeys with us more joyful and fun. With this launch, we have also introduced our iconic Maharaja in a new, playful avatar. As the summer vacations set in, we are happy to give kids another reason to travel with us. This launch marks the first phase of a long‑term vision, and travellers can expect more enhancements as we continue to elevate Air India’s family travel experience.”
