SAVANNAH— Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has secured type certification for its flagship Gulfstream G700 from the Government of India’s Office of the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), clearing the aircraft for customer deliveries across the country.
The approval strengthens the company’s footprint in one of the fastest-growing business aviation markets in Asia.
The certification enables Indian operators to induct the aircraft into service. It follows the recent validation of the Gulfstream G600 and Gulfstream G500 in India, signaling steady regulatory momentum for Gulfstream’s next-generation fleet.

Gulfstream G700 India Certification
India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation granted certification after reviewing the aircraft’s compliance with local operational and safety standards.
The clearance allows Gulfstream to begin deliveries to Indian customers and positions the G700 as a key option for corporations and high-net-worth individuals seeking nonstop global connectivity.
Mark Burns, President of Gulfstream, said the company continues to see rising demand for advanced long-range aircraft in India. He emphasized that performance, safety technology, and cabin comfort remain decisive factors for buyers in the region.
The G700 has already established itself globally with more than 90 city-pair speed records. It can fly 7,750 nautical miles at Mach 0.85 or 6,650 nautical miles at Mach 0.90, enabling nonstop connections such as New Delhi to New York and Mumbai to London.

Performance and Range of Gulfstream G700
The aircraft delivers one of the longest ranges in business aviation, allowing operators to link major global financial hubs without refueling stops.
Its high-speed cruise capability improves scheduling flexibility while reducing overall travel time for intercontinental missions.
The G700’s performance profile supports both corporate travel and private operations that require direct access between India and North America, Europe, and the Middle East. The aircraft’s advanced aerodynamics and engine efficiency contribute to its strong dispatch reliability and operational capability.
In addition to its flagship model, Gulfstream continues to report strong global utilization of the G500 and G600 platforms.
Together, those aircraft have accumulated more than 150 combined city-pair speed records and over 370 deliveries worldwide.

Gulfstream G700: Cabin and Technology
The G700 features what Gulfstream describes as the most spacious cabin in business aviation. The layout offers multiple living areas and extensive customization options to meet diverse mission requirements.
Passengers benefit from 100 percent fresh air circulation, 20 panoramic oval windows, and low cabin altitude levels that enhance comfort during long-haul flights.
Operators can configure the aircraft with high-speed internet connectivity, an advanced circadian lighting system, a large galley with more than 10 feet of counter space, or a private suite equipped with a fixed bed and shower.
The cockpit integrates Gulfstream’s Symmetry Flight Deck, which debuted on the G500 and G600. It includes active control sidesticks and extensive touchscreen interfaces, enhancing pilot situational awareness and operational precision.
