LONDON- A Jet2 (LS) flight from London Stansted (STN) to Tenerife South (TFS) requested priority landing after a serious medical emergency involving a passenger onboard.
Spanish air traffic controllers coordinated an expedited arrival so medical teams could meet the Airbus A321 on landing. The crew reported the medical concern during the approach and sought immediate assistance on arrival.

Jet2 Flight Medical Emergency
Air traffic control shortened the aircraft’s route so the flight could land sooner from the east side of the island, MirrorUK reported.
Airport medical services were placed on standby and prepared to assist the passenger as soon as the aircraft arrived at Tenerife South (TFS). The airline has not disclosed details about the passenger’s age or condition.
Authorities have not released further information about the individual involved. Reports indicate that the passenger required urgent care, prompting the priority request.
The airline and airport teams coordinated the response to ensure the aircraft could land as quickly and safely as possible.
The situation follows increased public discussion about inflight medical events after a separate incident last week involving easyJet (U2).
