FORT LAUDERDALE- JetBlue (B6) announced the restoration of two important nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), enhancing its presence in its South Florida focus city.
Starting in July 2025, the airline will resume flights connecting Fort Lauderdale (FLL) with Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (GYE) in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
South Florida
This route revival follows JetBlue’s recent expansion in the South Florida market, where the airline has increased departures by 6% compared to last year.
JetBlue (B6) now offers more than 70 daily flights to over 30 destinations from Fort Lauderdale (FLL), solidifying its position as the area’s leading premium leisure carrier.
The airline currently provides the most flights to Caribbean and Latin American destinations of any carrier this summer and has increased its lie-flat seat capacity by more than 60% compared to last summer.
Daniel Shurz, head of revenue, network, and enterprise planning at JetBlue (B6), explained the strategic importance of these routes.
“We’re not only making it easier for more customers to get to their favorite vacation destination, but also to connect with their family and friends, while strengthening JetBlue’s position as a preferred carrier in South Florida.”

Both reinstated routes will utilize JetBlue’s Airbus A320 aircraft. Passengers will enjoy the carrier’s signature amenities, including complimentary snacks and drinks, high-speed Fly-Fi internet, and seatback entertainment at every seat.
JetBlue (B6) had previously paused these routes as part of a broader network optimization effort. However, favorable shifts in market conditions and increased aircraft availability have enabled the airline to bring back these popular connections.
Special Promotional Fares
To celebrate the route relaunch, JetBlue (B6) is offering limited-time special fares: $69 one-way between Fort Lauderdale and Philadelphia and $119 one-way from Fort Lauderdale to Guayaquil. These promotional rates are available exclusively on JetBlue’s website.
Customers booking directly through its website receive guaranteed lowest fares and additional benefits, including access to all fare options and promotions, double TrueBlue points, Points Pooling opportunities, seamless seat selection and upgrade options, and 24/7 customer service access.
Expanding East Coast Presence
JetBlue (B6) continues to position itself as New York’s Hometown Airline while maintaining strong operations in Boston (BOS), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Los Angeles (LAX), Orlando (MCO), and San Juan (SJU). The carrier serves over 100 destinations throughout the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada, and Europe.
This service expansion reinforces JetBlue’s commitment to providing travelers value, choice, and convenience while strengthening its competitive position in the important South Florida market.
