MUMBAI- India’s largest low-cost carrier, IndiGo Airlines (6E) operates the highest number of international flights from Mumbai (BOM) compared to other metro cities.
The special analysis of IndiGo flight routes by two X, The Indian Aviation Guy, and AviationAll pages in collaboration highlights the significant presence of 6E across six major Indian metro cities. We asked them to make a brief post on it and they permitted us to write it.

Operating 685 weekly flights from six metro cities and offering 132,486 seats one-way, the airline has solidified its position as a key player in international travel.
Mumbai: Largest International Base
- Weekly Operations: 194 flights to 20 cities
- Seats Offered: 36,858 one-way
- Daily Operations: ~28 flights and ~55 air traffic movements
Delhi: Second Largest Base
- Weekly Operations: 154 flights to 18 cities
- Seats Offered: 31,416 one-way

IndiGo Leads from Mumbai
Mumbai remains IndiGo’s top international hub, operating nearly 200 weekly flights, followed by Delhi and Bengaluru. Bengaluru has overtaken Hyderabad to secure third place, with Chennai and Kolkata completing the list.
IndiGo also deploys 25% of total international seats of Bengaluru Airport (BLR) while Air India (AI) just offers 6%. However, Air India aims to strengthen its presence in Bengaluru and establish at its southern hub.
Growth Over the Past Six Months
- Bengaluru: Added 46 flights, reflecting the highest growth.
- Mumbai: Expanded with 28 additional flights.
- Chennai: Increased by 10 flights.
- Delhi and Kolkata: Each added 4 flights, showing minimal change.
- Hyderabad: Marginally grew with 2 new flights.
