DELHI- Indian Airline faced another bomb threat on a New Delhi (DEL)-bound flight from Kathmandu (KTM), Nepal on Saturday (November 2, 2024), adding to a recent series of similar hoaxes targeting flights.
By looking at the flight schedule, it looks like the IndiGo (6E) flight 6E1152 from Kathmandu to Delhi was delayed by almost two hours. So it can be the one who has received this threat. But an IndiGo media representative told us, “There was no bomb threat in that flight.
And this is no security-related alert in any KTM flight today. That delay was due to ATC congestion in Kathmandu.”
India Nepal Flight Bomb Threat
“We received a bomb threat on an Indian Airlines flight bound for New Delhi from Kathmandu,” confirmed Dambar Bahadur BK, Chief of Police at Tribhuvan International Airport, speaking to ANI. A search operation involving Nepal Police and the Army is underway.
On Monday, another bomb threat hoax was received regarding Air India (AI) Flight AI216, also set to return to New Delhi. This was the second bomb threat hoax within a week at Nepal’s Tribhuvan International Airport. The Air India flight landed at 2:41 PM Nepal Standard Time, prompting emergency protocols.
“We didn’t find any explosives or suspicious items on board. The plane is now preparing for takeoff,” confirmed Kiran Bajracharya, AIG at Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari, speaking with ANI.
