MUMBAI- The All India Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Union (AIAMEU) conducted its first meeting on Sunday (October 20, 2024) and it was productive.
The meeting was hosted by Prashant Patel, Secretary and by Suraj Kumar, the Dy. Secretary of AIAMEU.
AIAMEU Meeting Summary
A large number of people participated in this meeting, all aviation company people scheduled, non-schedule, MRO, and college students also participated, many experienced people participated in this meeting and thanked the organizer for organizing this meeting and also showed enthusiasm for coming meetings.
The meeting started with Suraj Kumar welcoming everyone, after that he introduced Prashant Patel and then Prashant Patel presented his views.
Mr Patel presented the proposal that this meeting has been called to form an organization whose aim is to organize all the people, discuss the problems of the people of the engineering department, and then call for an organization to solve them.
Prashant sir said that continuous efforts have been made on this for the last several years. During this time, questions were raised on their problem many times in the country’s Parliament. Their problems were also discussed through the media and brought before the country.
The changes before and after the formation of AIAMEU were described. He said that there is a need for an organization to talk about their rights and justice without fear.
In support of this proposal, Suraj Kumar, Manoj Rai, Sone Lal Singh, Saurabh Yadav, Luv Gupta, Bhavya Velani, Rajiv Ranjan, Deepak Kumar, Vivek Singh, Jitendra Singh, Prasanjit Kundu, Vikrant Kumar, and many others expressed their support and gave their statements and talked about bringing everyone together and working together.
Decision Made in this Meeting
Some decisions were taken in this meeting which are as follows:
- An organization should be formed at the all-India level whose head office should be in Delhi.
- People who are working in the engineering department of aviation and who have computer numbers can become members of this organization.
- The possible structure of the organization:
- There will be a central team, and along with it there will be four zonal teams, and after that regional teams will be formed.
- The members will be formed in this way- there will be founder members, central executive members (25), and executive members (7-9).
In this meeting, many people gave their suggestions for the formation of the organization such as
- A stationwide team should be formed
- There should be an online medium in which everything should be updated and minutes of the meeting should be made available i.e. there should be a website.
- Seats should be reserved for some members of all the companies.
- There should be a legal committee (legal cell).
- The organization should have a dynamic rule and law that can be changed from time to time if needed.
Some People Remarks
Respected Brajraj Singh Sir said in his address that the objective of this organization should be to fight for its rights and justice and not against anyone. Its goal should be to unite all the people and for this, everyone has to start working from today itself.
He said that DGCA bullies all of us, DGCA makes rules and laws for us, that too without asking us, and hence the government should create a law tribunal for all of us through which people can get justice.
Suraj Kumar Sir said that if anyone can get a computer number then what is the need of the AME Colleges? He further said that anyone can join the AME field but people who studied in AME colleges cannot leave the field as there is no degree and its just a certificate.
Conclusion
In the end, Prashant Patel made a goal for all the people present to work together with a team spirit. And thanked everyone for joining this meeting.
On the next Sunday once again an open meeting will be held in which some basic structure will be presented and all the other people are invited to come to the next meeting.
