DELHI- The All India Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Union (AIAMEU) has scheduled the first-ever national online meeting to discuss the issues of the AME field and strengthen the union.
AIAMEU founded by some of the AIESL technicians and other technicians working in India is the first union in the country that speaks for the rights of engineering field personnel in aviation.

Well, first of all, let’s see what’s in the invite message sent by its founding team member today (October 18, 2024).
Prashant Patel, Secretary of AIAMEU wrote,
“Namaskar, In the Indian Aviation industry, no one is interested in listening, discussing, or solving the issues of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
The Aviation Ministry and authorities do not take us seriously and they’re less interested in solving our issues. Airlines/MROs exploit engineers/technicians with their variable rules.
For years engineering people have been working to get even 5000 rupees. Companies asking employees to sign the bond for Technician roles, the situation of licensed engineers is even worse.
We are planning to connect with Engineering people from all over the country to make an effective and strong UNION of engineering people. your cooperation is expected on this.
When IAS, Judiciary, Doctors, and Pilots have their own association, then why we can’t form our own association dedicated to the Aircraft Maintenance engineering department?
Next Sunday (20 October 2024) at 2:00 PM, we are planning to organize an online meeting for this purpose. Those who are interested in becoming a founding member of the proposed All-India AME association, please attend the meeting.”
Prashant Patel told us that,
The meeting is to discuss the AME issues and more importantly how we can involve everyone working in the engineering department across India. The meeting will focus on forming a strong union, finding the right union core team members, and making sure that each and every person becomes part of our union.”

My Thoughts
I am so keen and looking forward to joining the meeting on Sunday with all the people across the AME field.
So the question arises who can join this meeting? If you are an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you can Join, if you are a technician you can join, if you are a helper, you can join, if you are working in the engineering department you can join. If you are a student studying at AME college, you can join.
In short, anyone who has done or doing an AME course or working in the AME field can join the meet.
