ATLANTA- Delta Air Lines (DL) launches nonstop flights between Minneapolis-St Paul (MSP) and Copenhagen (CPH), Denmark in May 2025. The thrice-weekly service expands Delta’s European network from MSP to seven direct destinations.

The service strengthens cultural and business ties between Minnesota’s Scandinavian-heritage population and Denmark. Copenhagen Airport’s strategic location offers American travelers efficient connections to destinations across Europe.
Delta’s expansion transforms MSP into a key gateway for transatlantic travel, while Copenhagen gains direct access to Delta’s extensive North American route network.
This partnership amplifies connectivity between two significant aviation hubs, serving both leisure and business travelers.
Metropolitan Airports Commission CEO Brian Ryks confirms Delta’s MSP-Europe expansion enhances regional connectivity through SkyTeam partnership while serving Minnesota’s Scandinavian heritage and cross-Atlantic business interests.
We are excited that Delta is expanding direct service to Europe from MSP next year, offering even more connections in that region through its new SkyTeam partner Scandinavian Airlines System

Copenhagen Airport CCO Peter Krogsgaard emphasizes two strategic advantages of Delta’s new route.
First, the MSP hub provides Danish travelers direct access to North America, the Caribbean, and Mexican destinations. Secondly, Copenhagen serves as a gateway for American travelers to access European routes.
Delta is one of the world’s largest airlines, and with a new direct route from Copenhagen to Minneapolis, many travelers will have direct access to one of Delta’s key hubs.
