DOHA- Qatar Airways (FR) will reveal its new ‘Qsuite Next Gen’ business class at the Farnborough International Air Show (FIA) 2024 from July 22-26. The airline will showcase this innovation at its Discover Lounge, allowing visitors to experience the future of business travel.
The Qsuite Next Gen will be the centerpiece of Qatar Airways’ presence at the air show. It promises advancements in comfort, collaborative design, and dining experiences for passengers.
Qatar Airways New Business Class
Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Qatar Airways Group CEO, expresses confidence that the new business class will attract significant attention from the global aviation community.
The airline will also display its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and Qatar Executive’s Gulfstream G700 at the event.
Qatar Airways, recognized as the World’s Best Airline and World’s Best Business Class, aims to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and luxury travel.
The airline is the first commercial carrier to operate the Gulfstream G700, showcasing its leadership in premium air travel.
Visitors can explore Qatar Airways’ offerings at Chalet C114-115 and the Qatar Airways Discover Lounge in Hall 1 Entrance throughout the five-day event. This presence at the prestigious air show reinforces Qatar Airways’ position as a leader in the global aviation industry.

What to Expect?
Qatar Airways introduced the original QSuite at ITB Berlin in 2017, setting a new standard for business class travel. The QSuite featured a sliding door for enhanced privacy and a unique quad-seat configuration, allowing four passengers to share space.
Despite its innovations, the QSuite faced criticism for its sleeping surface, limited storage, and excessive weight. Its width made it incompatible with Qatar Airways’ Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet.
The upcoming Next Gen QSuite, set to debut at the Farnborough International Air show from July 22-26, 2024, aims to address these issues. Expected improvements include:
- Lighter materials
- Updated sliding door
- Improved storage
- Enhanced foot space for better sleep
- Latest tech features like wireless and USB-C charging
- Bluetooth headphone connectivity
Qatar Airways Group CEO, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer also revealed plans for a new First Class product inspired by private jet experiences. This product is 70-80% complete, with an announcement expected soon.
The development of the new First Class follows a strategic review after the departure of former CEO Akbar Al Baker. These innovations demonstrate Qatar Airways’ commitment to maintaining its position as the World’s Best Airline and World’s Best Business Class.
