SEATTLE- Starting today (May 16, 2024), Alaska Airlines (AS) begins its new daily, nonstop service between its home airport in Seattle (SEA) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).
This marks the airline’s newest destination and the sixth Canadian city in its network.
Alaska Airlines Seattle to Toronto
In Toronto, passengers can immerse themselves in the city’s rich culture or connect to various destinations across Eastern Canada and beyond through Porter Airlines (P3), Alaska Airlines’ 30th global airline partner. Destinations include Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax, and St. John’s.
These Porter flights and others are available for one-way purchase on alaskaair.com, with additional booking options coming this summer.
“There are so many opportunities with our new service between our hometown airport and Toronto, from tremendous leisure travel options to connecting two key business regions in North America,” said Kirsten Amrine, vice president of revenue management and network planning for Alaska Airlines.
Largest City in Canada
Toronto, the largest city in Canada, is situated along the shores of Lake Ontario. Visitors can enjoy a bustling downtown, walkable neighborhoods, stunning parks, rich history, and diverse restaurants and entertainment.
“We are thrilled to welcome Alaska Airlines to Toronto Pearson. Their new service to Seattle will provide much-needed capacity and enhance customer options,” said Kurush Minocher, Executive Director of Customer Experience and Airline Relations at the Greater Toronto Airports Authority.
“Last year, more than a third of passengers traveled between Toronto and Seattle. We’re delighted to offer this service to thousands of passengers, simplifying travel to the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii.”
“Alaska continues to expand international options for travelers from SEA Airport, offering a wide range of unique and adventurous experiences,” said Lance Lyttle, Managing Director of SEA Airport. “Increased access across the continent makes Eastern Canada more accessible, enhancing competition.”
