COLOMBO- According to airline officials, JettWings Airways will commence flight services to three destinations in West Bengal immediately.
The airline’s operations will kick off with flights from Guwahati to Cooch Behar in the northern region of West Bengal as part of the Centre’s UDAN scheme. The official also mentioned that JettWings Airways will extend its commercial flight services to Kolkata and Bagdogra.

Recently, the Guwahati-based airline announced obtaining clearance to operate in 12 sectors covering the Northeast, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar as part of the UDAN scheme.
According to the official, pending smooth operations, commercial flights linking Assam and West Bengal are set to commence in the first week of June. Concurrently, flights under the Centre’s UDAN scheme are anticipated to launch by the end of June.
Additionally, the airline’s Chief Executive Officer and MD, Sanjay Aditya Singh, informed PTI that flights from Guwahati to Kolkata will run daily via Rupsi airport.
For these commercial flights, the airline plans to utilize 88-plus-seater aircraft. Singh also mentioned that smaller aircraft might be considered for short-haul flights to Bagdogra and Cooch Behar.
JettWings Airways, founded by Dr. Sanjive Narain and Sanjay Aditya Singh, will connect airports in Guwahati, Pakyong (Sikkim), Cooch Behar, Kushinagar, Gaya, Bareilly, Kanpur, and Agra, as stated in a company release.
The company further announced that JettWings Airways will be the first airline from the Northeast region to operate fixed-wing aircraft on commercial routes, utilizing modern deck turbofan regional jets and turboprops.
