This exciting collaboration between Rex and Etihad, the national carrier of the UAE, enables passengers on Rex’s domestic routes to connect seamlessly with Etihad’s expansive global network.
Etihad Rex Signs Interline Agreement
Warrick Lodge, Rex’s General Manager of Network Strategy, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Teaming up with a world-class airline like Etihad opens up a new era of choices and connections for Rex passengers.”
Passengers can now fly to Sydney (SYD) or Melbourne (MEL) with Rex and easily transition to Etihad to access 72 additional destinations worldwide.
Etihad’s extensive international network spans Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the USA. Travelers can book the entire journey, including both Etihad and Rex connecting flights, with the convenience of a single booking. Additionally, passengers may benefit from the ease of through-check baggage, where permitted.

Second Interline
Starting today, Rex flights are conveniently available for purchase on Etihad’s website and through trusted travel agents and online travel agencies.
According to the latest government data, Rex, known as Australia’s most reliable airline with the highest on-time departure rate and the lowest cancellation rate among domestic carriers, solidifies its position as a preferred choice for travelers.
This marks Rex’s second interline agreement, following its existing arrangement with Delta Air Lines (DL).
Rex is Australia’s largest independent regional and domestic airline, managing a fleet of 57 Saab 340 and nine Boeing 737-800NG aircraft. The airline serves 56 destinations across all states in Australia.
Within the Rex Group, there are wholly owned subsidiaries, including Pel-Air Aviation (specializing in air freight, aeromedical services, and charter operations), the Australian Airline Pilot Academy with campuses in Wagga Wagga and Ballarat, and the Australian Aerospace Propeller Maintenance organization, focused on propeller maintenance.
