PHOENIX- America’s Friendliest Airport® is thrilled to reveal the commencement of American Airlines (AA) new international service to Tijuana (TIJ), Mexico.
Commencing on February 15, 2024, daily nonstop flights from Phoenix (PHX) to General Abelardo L. Rodríguez International Airport are now operational.
American Airlines Phoenix to Tijuana
Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego emphasized the robust trade and tourism connections shared between Phoenix and Mexico, underscoring the significance of this new direct route to Tijuana in reinforcing their partnership.
Mayor Gallego anticipates an annual economic impact of $10 million from the new flight, contributing to the city’s mission to diversify and strengthen its growing economy, particularly in the manufacturing sector.
She expressed gratitude to the exceptional Aviation Team and American Airlines for their dedicated efforts in making this announcement a reality.
American Airlines Flight 4841 is scheduled to depart from PHX at 11:15 a.m. and arrive at Tijuana at 2:42 p.m. daily. The airline will deploy both Embraer 175 and Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft for this route.
