SHENZHEN- In a groundbreaking move to redefine in-flight entertainment, Rokid has partnered with Hainan Airlines (HU) to introduce the world’s first Augmented Reality (AR) in-flight experience.
Passengers on Hainan Airlines flight HU7874 from Shenzhen to Xi’an were pleasantly surprised on February 7th at 10 a.m. as they discovered special glasses on their seats. These glasses offered an immersive entertainment experience, enabling users to enjoy 3D films on a 360-inch borderless screen featuring 1080P resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a sensation akin to having a private cinema at an altitude of 30,000 feet.
Hainan and Rokid AR Flight Experience
Starting from February 8th and continuing for over a month, more than 20 Hainan Airlines flights will integrate the Rokid AR Entertainment Kits.
These kits come pre-loaded with various 3D offline movies, offering passengers a unique and novel form of in-flight entertainment. This initiative is designed to bring joy to travelers, enriching their journey through the incorporation of cutting-edge technology.
To ensure a seamless and delightful viewing experience, the Rokid team conducted thorough device testing and curated a selection of five of the latest films suitable for Lunar New Year viewing.

The Rokid AR Glasses prioritizes comfort, weighing a mere 75g and boasting a battery life of up to 5 hours, enabling users to effortlessly watch three movies consecutively.
Featuring dual directional speakers, passengers can immerse themselves in high-quality sound without causing disruptions to others.
