ZURICH- Swiss International Air Lines [SWISS] (LX) is set to enhance its services in the 2024 summer schedule by introducing Seoul (ICN) as a new addition to its long-haul network in Asia.
In conjunction with the previously disclosed intercontinental destinations of Washington, DC, and Toronto, Canada in the West, SWISS will expand its long-haul network in the East by establishing a connection between the South Korean capital, Seoul, and Zurich, Switzerland.

Summer 2024 will mark the debut of SWISS services in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. This city, renowned for its harmonious blend of traditional allure and modern sophistication, captivates visitors with landmarks like the Gyeongbokgung Palace and futuristic structures such as the N Seoul Tower.
Similarly, Switzerland presents a unique combination of natural splendor and contemporary living, featuring majestic Alpine landscapes like the Matterhorn and Jungfrau peaks, along with the dynamic economic and cultural hub of Zurich.

“In addition to the previously announced long-haul destinations of Washington, DC, and Toronto, we are introducing the highly appealing destination of Seoul to our Asian network in the summer of 2024. The capital of South Korea has much to offer both leisure and business travelers. Our new Seoul service aims to better cater to our customers’ demands for direct connections to and from major global cities.”
According to Leo Tonidandel, General Manager Korea, Lufthansa Group Airlines: “We are excited to introduce Seoul as SWISS’s first new destination in Asia for 2024.”
“As a premium carrier, SWISS will provide four cabins, including First Class and Premium Economy Class, offering Korean passengers more choices for direct flights from Seoul/Incheon to Zurich and connections beyond. Additionally, as a member of Lufthansa Group Airlines, SWISS allows Korean customers to enjoy integrated services with Lufthansa, including the same mileage program and various benefits.”
Schedule
SWISS is set to initiate its thrice-weekly non-stop service between Zurich and Seoul on May 7, 2024. The flights will be operated with an Airbus A340 featuring First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy Class.
The eastbound flight LX122 will depart from Zurich at 13:40 on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, arriving in Seoul at 08:25 the following day.
The westbound LX123 service will leave Seoul on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 09:55, reaching Zurich at 16:50.
