ATLANTA- Exciting news for travelers seeking warm-weather escapes: Delta Air Lines (DL) is enhancing its flight offerings to Latin America and the Caribbean for the upcoming winter, introducing new services from its hubs in Atlanta, New York-JFK, and Minneapolis/St. Paul to Barbados, Puerto Plata, and Mazatlán. Additionally, the airline is increasing its flights to Curaçao.
In the upcoming winter season, Delta will connect a total of 50 cities in Latin America and the Caribbean. The linkage of these destinations with Delta’s hubs in ATL, JFK, and MSP enables seamless connecting access from nearly 200 cities worldwide.
Delta New Routes to Latin America
“Delta is establishing crucial connections from Atlanta and across the U.S. to facilitate our customers’ journeys to their dream vacation spots,” remarked Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning.
“This latest schedule provides travelers with unparalleled choices, offering up to 1,000 weekly flights to unique destinations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.”
BARBADOS
Delta is set to initiate daily service from Atlanta to Barbados (BGI) starting on Nov. 23, with Saturday-only flights to BGI from New York-JFK commencing on Dec. 21. Whether delving into the historic sites of Bridgetown or indulging in the island’s delightful cuisine, travelers can reacquaint themselves with the vibrant culture and pristine beaches that render Barbados exceptional.
PUERTO PLATA
Commencing on Nov. 23, Delta’s novel daily service to Puerto Plata (POP) from Atlanta opens up opportunities for customers to explore the historic Fort of San Felipe and the lively Amber Cove. For those seeking relaxation and tranquility, the golden beaches of Playa Dorada provide an ideal retreat.
MAZATLÁN
Delta is set to inaugurate a three-times-weekly service from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Mazatlán, Mexico (MZT), commencing on Dec. 21. From the renowned Malecón to the charming Old Town, travelers can indulge in the unique flavors of Mexico’s Pacific Coast.

In response to the surging demand for Curaçao’s vibrant architecture, pristine waters, and diverse culinary offerings, Delta is expanding its flights from Atlanta, transitioning from Saturday-only to daily service starting Nov. 23.
Boeing 737 to Serve these Routes
For customers eager to plan their vacations in Latin America or the Caribbean, Delta Vacations provides a convenient option. Tailored for SkyMiles Members, Delta Vacations offers a range of elevated vacation experiences, including flights, handpicked hotels, transportation, and activities catering to every traveler.
In 2024, SkyMiles Members will have the added benefit of earning miles, accumulating more towards Medallion Status, and having the option to use miles for partial or full payment of their trip.
All the recently introduced and expanded routes will be serviced by Delta’s Boeing 737-800, providing options such as First Class, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin.
Soon, customers will experience an enhanced premium experience on this aircraft as Delta introduces its latest First Class seat, accompanied by various updates and improvements.
