HYDERABAD- India’s upcoming Aviation conference and show, Wings India 2024, has revealed the list of key winners in the Airlines and Airports category. Indian aviation has shown strong growth post-pandemic as air travel surges in the country.

Wings India 2024 Winners
Bengaluru (BLR) and Delhi (DEL) international airports have jointly been awarded the title of Best Airport of the Year at the Wings India Awards 2024. The accolade for the best airline was bestowed upon Vistara-Tata SIA Airlines (UK).
The aviation industry’s outstanding performers were acknowledged in various categories, with their exemplary performance and innovative approaches setting a new standard for excellence.
Airports
Bangalore International Airport also secured the title in the “>25 MPPA Traffic” category, signifying that the airport annually serves over 25 million passengers.
Hyderabad Airport (HYD) emerged victorious in the 10-25 million passengers category, while Goa’s Dabolim Airport (GOI) claimed the top spot in the 5-10 million category. Mangaluru Airport (IXE) secured the win in the under 5 million category.
Mumbai (BOM) and Delhi airports distinguished themselves as “Innovation” and “Sustainability Champions,” respectively.
Airlines
Apart from the airports, the spotlight also shone on airlines, with Vistara-Tata SIA Airlines Limited securing the prestigious title of Best Airline of the Year.
Air India (AI) attained top honors for international connectivity, while IndiGo emerged victorious in the domestic category.
Alliance Air (9I) received the highest recognition for regional connectivity, while the “Innovation Champion” award was bestowed upon Vistara, and Air India Express earned accolades for sustainability.
Awards were also presented in various categories encompassing service providers, manufacturing, drones, and startups, with special recognition for standout states like Uttar Pradesh.
The Lifetime Achievement Award for ‘Iconic Women in Aviation’ was conferred upon Tulsi N Mirchandaney, former MD of Blue Dart (BZ).
