COPENHAGEN- As part of the SAS (SK) summer program for 2024, the North American network will welcome a ninth destination. Commencing on June 17, 2024, SAS will provide daily non-stop flights from Copenhagen (CPH) to Atlanta (ATL).
This addition not only introduces a new destination but also marks an increase in frequency to the USA for the summer season.
SAS Copenhagen to Atlanta Flights
The route between Copenhagen and New York (JFK) will see up to two daily flights, supplementing the existing daily flights to New York-Newark Airport from Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen.
Flights from Copenhagen to Boston will operate daily, a rise from six times a week during the summer. Furthermore, an additional weekly flight will be introduced from Copenhagen to Toronto.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, with nearly 94 million passengers in 2022, stands as the world’s busiest and most efficient airport.
Freight is anticipated to play a significant role in this route, partly due to its proximity to the Port of Savannah, recognized as the largest and fastest-growing container terminal in the Americas.
Through a collaboration with Delta Air Lines (DL), travelers can seamlessly continue their journey to other Delta-served destinations from Atlanta.
This development marks an expanded offering for SAS passengers, providing the opportunity to explore numerous new and exciting destinations in the southern USA, the Caribbean, and Latin America, all easily accessible from Atlanta, as highlighted by SAS CEO Anko van der Werff.
