This new route aims to facilitate easy access to Milan, the epicenter of Italy’s fashion scene, with morning departure times catering to leisure travelers from both ends of the route.
Passengers can reach London Southend in just 52 minutes by train from London Liverpool Street or a quick 43-minute journey from Stratford (via the Elizabeth Line).
Upon arrival, they need only cover a short distance of 100 paces to reach the terminal door, ensuring a swift and convenient airport experience.
This announcement follows the successful reintroduction of multiple routes from London Southend Airport, with the award-winning airport operating its most extensive winter schedule in four years.
The addition of Aeroitalia this summer complements London Southend’s existing partner airline and tour operators, including easyJet, Balkan Holidays, and Santa’s Lapland, bringing the total number of available destinations from the airport to 11 in 2024.
John Upton, CEO of London Southend Airport, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to unveil this new and dynamic partnership with Aeroitalia, the second-largest Italian airline in Italy, introducing near-daily flights to Milan Bergamo.
