DUBAI- Emirates (EK), the world’s largest international airline, is reinforcing its commitment to South Korea by expanding its operations in Seoul, adding three extra weekly flights starting from February 19, 2024.
The new flights, identified as EK324/EK325, will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Utilizing a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, Emirates’ EK324 will depart from Dubai at 04:45 hrs, reaching Seoul Incheon International Airport at 18:05 hrs. The return flight, EK325, is scheduled to depart Seoul at 22:00 hrs, landing in Dubai at 03:15 hrs the following day.
Emirates Ramps Up Seoul Flights
This increase in services by Emirates will raise the capacity of Dubai-Seoul flights by over 1,000 additional seats per week.
It aims to address the pent-up demand for international travel to one of East Asia’s most popular destinations, supporting both inbound and outbound tourism in South Korea.
The intensified operations align with the strong bilateral relations between the UAE and Korea, reflecting the need for increased flights between the two nations.
Emirates is set to enhance cargo capacity by 45 tonnes weekly between Dubai and Seoul through its three additional Boeing 777 flights. This move aims to strengthen trade and economic bonds between South Korea and the UAE, extending the impact to global destinations within the Emirates’ network via Dubai.
The initiative is expected to contribute significantly to Korea’s economy, facilitating seamless air connectivity for the Republic’s imports and exports.
Serving Since 2005
Since the launch of services to Seoul in 2005, Emirates has been operating a daily Airbus A380 service from Dubai. With the introduction of these additional services, the airline will now offer 10 weekly flights to Seoul, utilizing a combination of its signature Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
This expanded service ensures increased flexibility and choices for customers traveling to and from Dubai and connecting to over 130 destinations globally.
