LONDON- Virgin Atlantic (VS) is excited to share its plans to expand capacity in its key market, the USA, by introducing additional frequencies from London Heathrow (LHR) to New York JFK and Boston for the summer of 2024.
These additions align with the airline’s recent initiatives, including the expansion of Miami services from 11 flights per week to twice daily year-round and the introduction of a new seasonal summer service from Manchester to Las Vegas.
Virgin Atlantic New York and Boston Flights
In the upcoming summer, Virgin Atlantic will set a new record for flights between London and New York, featuring a seventh daily flight to JFK.
Collaborating with Joint Venture partner Delta, the airlines will jointly offer ten daily services to the Big Apple, marking an 11% increase compared to the summer of 2023.
Virgin Atlantic will introduce a second daily flight to Boston to enhance its presence on the East Coast. Alongside Delta’s daily service, Boston will be served with a total of three flights per day.
New Aircraft to Serve the Routes
Passengers on both Virgin Atlantic flights will have the opportunity to experience the airline’s latest aircraft, the A330-900neo and A350-1000, contributing to a 23% increase in the number of Upper and Premium seats.
Upper-class travelers seeking a luxurious experience can avail themselves of the innovative Retreat Suite on the A330-900neo, featuring two spacious exclusive suites at the front of the Upper-Class cabin. Additionally, passengers flying with Joint Venture partner Delta will enjoy the benefits of its new and enhanced Delta One product.
In line with its commitment to its USA heartland, Virgin Atlantic’s enhanced schedule will provide a record number of departures to the USA, averaging 27 daily departures to popular destinations such as Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa, and Washington DC.
The new services will not only enhance travel connections within the U.S. but also offer passengers the opportunity to connect to cities throughout the U.S. and the rest of the world via London Heathrow. This includes destinations like Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Johannesburg, and Shanghai, facilitated by Virgin Atlantic’s partnership with Delta Air Lines.
