COPENHAGEN- To meet the increasing demand for travel to the USA and Asia, SAS Airways (SK) is enhancing its flight options and amplifying capacity in the summer traffic program.
In the forthcoming summer program starting on March 31, 2024, SAS is introducing additional flights and frequencies to both the USA and Asia, as outlined below.
SAS Flights to North America
The Copenhagen-New York (JFK) route will experience a rise in frequency, offering up to two daily flights operated by Airbus A321LR. These additional flights will supplement the existing daily Airbus A330 flights to New York-Newark Airport originating from each of the Scandinavian capitals.
Flights from Copenhagen to Boston will transition from six times a week to daily. The Airbus A350 will be deployed for these flights, doubling available seats. This enhancement ensures daily connectivity and facilitates increased cargo transport between the two regions.
A fourth weekly flight will be introduced on the Copenhagen-Toronto route. A new departure time from Copenhagen will streamline connections with flights to and from European and Scandinavian cities.
More Flights to Asia
Starting April 25, flight offerings to Asia will be expanded. Both the Shanghai and Tokyo routes will see an increase from three to four times a week, significantly augmenting seat and cargo capacity.
To meet heightened demand during the Easter travel period, SAS is extending the Bangkok route with a weekly service until April 20th.
