FORT WORTH- Starting in mid-December 2023, American Airlines (AA) is set to initiate a codeshare partnership with Philippine Airlines (PR), initially encompassing selected services to and from The Philippines, all operated by Philippine Airlines.
The codeshare routes are scheduled to commence on December 13, 2023.
American Airlines Philippine Codeshare
Flights on routes such as Cebu to Tokyo Narita, Manila to Guam, Manila to Tokyo Haneda, and Manila to Tokyo Narita are conducted by Philippine Airlines on behalf of American Airlines.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Philippine Airlines, enabling our customers to enjoy smooth connections to Manila, the regional capital and economic center, as well as Cebu, the gateway to numerous tropical islands boasting pristine beaches,” stated Anmol Bhargava, American’s Vice President of Global Alliances and Partnerships. “Given the Philippines’ status as one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia, we are eager to strengthen our partnership with Philippine Airlines further.”

Singapore Philippine Partnership
Recently, by late November 2023, Philippine Airlines and Singapore Airlines (SQ) commenced a codeshare partnership, starting with Philippine Airlines using PR-coded flight numbers on specific Singapore Airlines services. The codeshare routes officially became operational around November 30, 2023 (approximate).
Routes operated by Philippine Airlines under the codeshare agreement with Singapore Airlines include:
- Singapore to Copenhagen
- Singapore to Manila
- Singapore to Milan Malpensa
- Singapore to Paris CDG
- Singapore to Rome Fiumicino
Singapore Airlines is set to assign SQ-coded flight numbers to various Philippine Airlines services, encompassing routes such as Manila to Bacolod, Basco, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Caticlan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Ozamiz, Puerto Princesa, Roxas, Singapore, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, and Zamboanga.
As of now, specific effective dates for these changes have not been confirmed.
