SINGAPORE- Air India (AI) inaugural Airbus A350 aircraft is currently on a global journey, having flown from Asia to Europe in anticipation of its integration into the airline’s fleet.
Aviation enthusiasts have spotted the aircraft multiple times at Airbus facilities in Toulouse, France, and Air India officially revealed the new livery for the aircraft last month.

Air India A350 Ferry Flight
Air India has ambitious plans for its Airbus A350, intending to deploy it on various long-haul routes to capitalize on its extended range and enhanced fuel efficiency.
Recently, a ferry flight provided a preview of what such a journey might entail, covering the distance from Singapore to Toulouse, France.
In October, Air India unveiled the aircraft’s appearance post-paint job in Toulouse, showcasing the A350 adorned with the airline’s fresh livery. This reveal served as a teaser by the airline ahead of its formal inclusion into the fleet in the upcoming weeks.

New Flights and Destinations
Air India (AI), a prominent global airline in India, has officially declared its intention to expand its flight operations significantly with 400+ weekly flights, new destinations, and 30+ aircraft in over six months.
This expansion plan will encompass its domestic and international routes until March 2024 under the Winter Schedule ’23.
Capitalizing on the anticipated arrival of new aircraft in the next half-year, Air India seeks to bolster its domestic network within India. This initiative involves the addition of more than 200 weekly flights across various routes, connecting major Indian cities like Mumbai and Delhi.
Simultaneously, the airline has plans to enhance its international route network, with over 200 weekly flights in the pipeline, of which more than 80 have already been incorporated into the schedule.
Furthermore, Air India is gearing up to introduce four new international destinations, with details to be disclosed at a later date.
As the Winter Schedule ’23 commences, Air India has significantly increased flight frequencies by a factor of 25 on eight international routes spanning Southeast Asia, the United States, and Europe.
